Oracle Systems Need to be Set Up to Use Windows Authentication by Default

Problem Overview

Oracle Systems Need to be Set Up to Use Windows Authentication by Default

Detailed Description

Oracle systems need to be set up to use Windows Authentication by default. After an upgrade, Windows authentication to the database is assumed for all database setup and browser-based applications. Therefore, if the user does not have “Windows Authentication” set up, it will need to be configured. If the user does not want to use Windows Authentication, the Username/Password can be used instead. This will need to be changed via the ConnectionString file setting in the application.config file AND the password will now be in plain text. This also applies to SQL Server systems utilizing the browser-based applications.
