How to Install a ScanShell 1000A
Procedure Steps
The current Supplemental Disc, Rev 11, does not have the correct device drivers for the ScanShell 1000-A and the scanner does not come with any drivers. To obtain the drivers:
1) Go to the Web site, https://www.scanshell-store.com/ and locate driver or contact them to get the driver.
2) Click the link to download ScanShell 1000A Drivers.
3) Unzip these drivers on the workstation where the ScanShell 1000A will be installed.
4) Connect the scanner to the workstation using the supplied USB cable.
5) The New Hardware Wizard will prompt you to install drivers from disc or a specific location. Specify the driver files you downloaded. Allow the Hardware Wizard to complete.
6) In addition to the drivers, the ScanShell requires the CSSN SDK 9.42.0. The SDK can be downloaded from the the Lenel Web site: https://www.lenel.com/support/downloads/onguard#third-party-sdks. Click the link at the bottom of the page to download the SDK. Follow the instructions included in that download to install the SDK.
