Error when launching Device Discovery Console

Symptom

When launching the Device Discovery Console, the following error appears:

Could not load file or assembly ‘Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Logging, Version=3.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a’ or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Resolution

This error ocurrs when key dll files are not copied to the \OnGuard\Device Discovery directory.
Copy the following files from the OnGuard installation media to the \OnGuard\Device Discovery directory:
  • Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Logging.dll
  • Microsoft.practices.enterpriselibrary.common.dll
  • Microsoft.practices.objectbuilder.dll
The files can be found in the following directory: \installation media\program files\OnGuard\Device Discovery.

 Make sure you are using media for the same version of OnGuard.
 
After the files are copied, the Device Discovery Console launches as expected.
