Symptom
When importing an AutoCAD (DXF) file for use as a background in MapDesigner, portions of the image are missing or incomplete.
1) Flatten the image to a single layer in AutoCAD, then save the image in the AutoCAD 2000 DXF file format. Or
2) Export the image in the JPG file format, rather than the DXF file format.
The resulting image can be imported successfully into MapDesigner, with no loss of image contents.
