Using a Keypad for Card and PIN verification with iCam 4000v
Procedure Steps
- Wire the iCam 4010v to a LNL-1320 reader port as described in the documentation.
- Wire a compatible keypad to the other LNL-1320 reader port as described in the documentation.
- Configure the iCam 4010V reader in System Administration.
- Set the reader mode to Card and PIN.
- Configure the keypad in System Administration as an Alternate Reader to the iCam reader.
At the iCam, the cardholder performs the following steps to obtain an Access Granted:
- Present the badge to the integrated reader.
- Present eyes for identity verification.
- Enter PIN on keypad. The iCam unit is seen as a Wiegand reader by OnGuard, so this is no different than setting up any standard reader with a keypad as alternate.
