How to Create Zone with letters and numbers for Osborne-Hoffman OH-2000?

Question

How do you create a zone with letters and numbers for Osborne-Hoffman OH-2000?

Answer

When non-numeric characters are received, OnGuard assumes they are hex characters and process them in that way. OnGuard only deals with decimal values, so when this is configured, the zone mappings must be translated. If the panel/receiver is reporting Zone B, this is treated as 0xb, which is 11. Zone F would be 0xf which is 15. These decimal values (11, 15, and so on) are what should be entered into OnGuard.
