How do I find the panel IP from the NGP keypad ?

Question

How do I find the panel IP from the NGP keypad?

Answer

  1. Log into the keypad with user:  000000, 2482.
If it does not show you the normal Welcome system message, and instead it shows something similar to "CommLost#14922", then enter  "24822" and press [X] twice. That might force the keypad to the WELCOME screen, after which you can log in.
  2. If it says "Silence the System", press [Yes].
  3. If it says "Push > for Menus", press [>].
  4. On "Menu Options", press [>] until you see "Config", then press [Ok].
  5. The keypad shows something similar to "S001:00". Press [>] to move the cursor, then overtype to say:  "S009:00" and press [Ok].
  6. If you see 1 checkbox, 1 BOX []  that means static IP is enabled. Press [Ok].
  7. The keypad should show your IP. Press [Ok].
  8. The keypad should show your subnet mask. Press [Ok].
  9. The keypad should show your default gateway. Press [Ok].
  10. If you see two checkboxes, that means DHCP is enabled (this if for the second ethernet port on the panel).
The keypad should show the IP, subnet mask, and gateway.
