The FIPS Key Generator utility on version 21 of the Supplemental Materials disc (which shipped with OnGuard 7.3) has been superseded by a new version available on the Lenel Partner Center website at https://partner.lenel.com/.
The utility was updated to meet the latest FIPS 140-2 requirements for random number generation. The FIPS Key Generator utility now uses a Microsoft-provided algorithm for generating random numbers that complies with the CTR_DRBG portion of the NIST SP800-90A standard. All FIPS 140-2-certified sites must use this version (2.3) of the utility moving forward.
Download the updated FIPS Key Generator (Lenel Key Generator Utility 2.3) from the Partner Center and install it on the same server or workstation running the Communication Server and communicating with Lenel Intelligent System Controllers (ISCs).
