Error installing OnGuard or OnGuard Hot Fix on Windows XP or Windows Server 2003: ''Error 1718. File was rejected by digital signature policy.''

During installation of OnGuard or an OnGuard Hot Fix on a computer running Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, the following error message might appear:

"Error 1718. File <file_name.msi> was rejected by digital signature policy."

Note: Substitute the name of the Windows Installer package file for <file_name.msi>.

This problem occurs if the Windows Installer process has insufficient contiguous virtual memory to verify that the .msi package is correctly signed.

A supported fix is available for Windows Server 2003. There is no fix available for Windows XP, but there is a workaround.
