Cosmetic issues during time-lapse video playback in OnGuard 2010 Technology Update (6.4.500)

Problem Overview

Cosmetic issues during time-lapse video playback in OnGuard 2010 Technology Update (6.4.500).

Detailed Description

OnGuard 2010 Technology Update introduced significant changes in the way gaps are handled during recorded video playback. These changes address a number of time synchronization issues critical for playback of MPEG4 and H.264 video when the GOV setting is high relative to the recording frame rate.

These changes also introduced the following side effects during time-lapse playback.

1) Playback of the last frame in the requested segment of recorded video may be delayed by a few seconds.

2) When the playback rate is set to lower than normal the thumb on the time progress bar unexpectedly jumps back to a random position after last frame of the requested segment is played. The last frame is still shown as expected but the time on the progress bar is not accurate at that point.

3) The thumb on the time progress bar is updated less frequently than in previous versions of OnGuard. This results in a small delay between switching to new frame and updating the thumb accordingly. This is most noticeable during time-lapse playback especially when the playback rate is set to higher than normal. In this case, the thumb may skip some frames while these frames are actually being played back as expected.
