Restoring Databases Through SQL
Procedure Steps
- Stop all FCWnx services.
- Open SQL Server Management Studio and expand the Databases folder.
- Right-click on the database you want to restore.
- Go to Tasks > Restore, and click on Database.
- Set the source to "from device" then click on the ellipse button.
- Click the Add button and browse to the backup you would like to restore. Click OK twice.
- The select the backup sets to restore box should now be populated with the backup you selected. Check the box next to it.
- In the left-hand pane, click on Options.
- Check the box next to Overwrite existing database (with REPLACE).
- For both the DAT and the log entry, click on the ellipse button and browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\GE\FCWnx\Database.
- Click OK to start the restore process.
