Symptom
The OnGuard LenelS2 logo is missing from the logon dialogs for OnGuard applications on client workstations. For example:
Resolution
Perform the following procedure:
- Log into the workstation as an Administrator.
- Copy this DigiCert-Root.cer file to the workstation's desktop. DigiCert-Root.cer
- On the workstation, open a Command Prompt window.
- Type mmc <Enter>. A Console window opens.
- Open the File menu, and then select Add/Remove Snap-in. The Add or Remove Snap-ins window opens.
- Select Certificates, then click [Add].
- Select Computer account, then click [Next].
- Select Local computer, then click [Finish].
- Click [OK].
- Under Console Root, expand the newly added Certificates.
- Expand Trusted Root Certification Authorities.
- Right-click on Certificates, then select All Tasks > Import.
- Follow the instructions and browse to the DigiCert-Root.cer file on the workstation's desktop, then click [Next].
- Select Place all certificates in the following store (with Trusted Root Certification Authorities identified in the Certificate store field), then click [Next].
- Click [Finish]. You should see an Import successful message.
- Reboot the workstation.
To verify that the Digital Signature is valid:
- Navigate to the OnGuard installation directory.
- Find the SplashScreenResources.dll file. Right-click on the file and view the properties.
- On the Digital Signature tab, select the Lenel signature in the signature list and click [Details].
- Under the Digital Signature Information section, make sure that it says: "the digital signature is OK."
