How to view WMI events logged in Windows to troubleshoot DataConduIT issues
Procedure Steps
In Windows the WMI service logs activity using Event Tracing for Windows (ETW). Activity is logged in the form of events that are visible in Event Viewer.Logging specific to DataConduIT will also appear in Event Viewer.
In Windows the WMI service logs activity in text logs located in the %windir%\system32\wbem\logs folder. The log file names are:
Wbemcore.log
Wbemess.log
Mofcomp.log
Framework.log
Wmiadap.log
Winmgmt.log
Wbemprox.log
Setup.log
Logging specific to DataConduIT is written to file DataConduIT.log in this folder as well.
