How to set the CPU limit for Alarm Monitoring or VideoViewer on client computers displaying video

Procedure Steps

1) Exit the Alarm Monitoring or VideoViewer application.

2) Open the ACS.INI file in a text editor and add the following lines: 

[DigitalVideo]
CPUPauseLimit=50
CPUResumeLimit=40

Note: In the above example, Alarm Monitoring and VideoViewer will stop displaying video when the CPU usage reaches 50% and resumes playing when the CPU usage reaches 40%.

Additional Information

This is changed on a per-computer basis.

The default limits are:
Pause: 90%
Resume: 70%

If the video window has a red border the video is paused. The video will resume when the CPU limit reaches the Resume Limit set in the ACS.INI file.
