How to determine the version of DirectX installed
Procedure Steps
1) Click the Start button, then select Run.2) Type dxdiag and then click [OK].
3) In the System Information section of the window, verify that the DirectX version installed is supported. If it is not, install DirectX from the Supplemental Materials disc.
4) On the Display tab, click [Disable] for both DirectDraw Acceleration and Direct3D Acceleration.
5) Click [Exit].
6) Restart the computer for the changes to take effect.
