Symptom
If you have upgraded an Enterprise system from a version prior to OnGuard 2008 (6.0.148) where more than one Enterprise system was on the same physical computer, you will notice the node (display) name of the servers is duplicated. This is because the server name is used when upgrading.
Also, the new dynamic segments in the Enterprise system use the node name, so the dynamic segments may not have user-friendly names.
1) Log into Replication Administration on the desired Enterprise server.
2) Open the Enterprise Server Configuration form. To do this, double-click "Enterprise Server Configuration" beneath a Master Server, Distributed ID Master, Region, or Mobile Station in the System Tree.
3) On the Enterprise Server Configuration form, click [Modify], then change the node name in the Enterprise server display name field to a more meaningful name.
This process will update the name used throughout Replication Administration, and also update the dynamic segments to use this new node name.
