Symptom
Database performance is extremely slow using Oracle 10g.
- Ensure the proper Oracle patch set is installed on the Oracle database server.
- Ensure the proper ODBC driver and patch set are installed on . (Refer to the Compatibility Charts.)
- In the Oracle ODBC Driver Configuration window, deselect Enable Closing Cursors. OnGuard versions 5.12.012 and later uses the Oracle ODBC driver to connect to the Oracle 9i or Oracle 10g database. The driver named Microsoft ODBC for Oracle is no longer supported with OnGuard versions 5.12.012 and later, running Oracle 9i.
- If you are using Oracle 10g, make sure that you install the Oracle patch for ODBC driver "P5699495_10203_winit".
