Symptom
When printing badges, the following error displays:
"Error - failed to encode card 0x80040706"
Resolution
- Later version badge templates can no longer be used. The HTML code has been changed by Imageware no longer allowing printer interaction and image printing. Various components of the old HTML code that can no longer be used with their new version.
- Create new badge designs from the original 7.6 sample templates. If old designs are imported, the incompatible HTML code will be re-inserted into the process, and the error will persist.
- Install the latest printer drivers on the badge workstation. Verify the printer has the most current firmware loaded.
