Authorization Warning when Logging into OnGuard Applications

Symptom

When logging into OnGuard, the user sees a warning similar to this: 

Warning: This computer program is protected by copyright law and international treaties. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution of this program, or any portion of it, may result in severe civil and criminal penalties, and will be prosecuted to the maximum extent possible under the law.

Note: Depending on the version of OnGuard installed, the default text shown in this warning might be different.

Resolution

Configure the warning as desired by performing the following steps:

1. Log into System Administration, then navigate to Administration > System Options.
2. On the General System Options subtab, you can change the Log on authorization warning as follows:

• None (disabled)
• Standard (enabled with default message)
• Custom (activates the Text button, allowing you to edit the warning text)
