ARP command to a Lantronix MicroCoBox fails when using a laptop

Symptom

When using a laptop, the ARP command to a Micro CoBox fails even though the Micro CoBox is connected directly to the laptop.

Resolution

When trying to perform an ARP command to communicate to the Lantronix Micro CoBox, the laptop will try to use both the Ethernet and wireless connections, regardless of whether the wireless is disabled. In order to do an ARP command using a laptop, use a hardware-specific command.
The alternative command for this is to specify the hard-wired connection using an additional command followed by the machine’s local IP address (ie: arp –s 192.168.0.20 00-20-4a-6f-9c-4d _N 192.168.0.10).
