Symptom
When attempting to upgrade from a firmware prior to v1.27.x directly to v1.29.x the procedure will fail. This is due to the increased size of the v1.29.x firmware file (>15,000,000 bytes).
Resolution
An incremental approach must be taken to go from a pre v1.27.x to v1.29.x. In this 2-stage approach, you'd first need to upgrade to v1.27.x (allows for larger firmware file size), and then proceed in upgrading to v1.29.x
Action that was resolved in 1.27.x Firmware:
When a firmware upgrade is initiated, a check is done against the firmware file size before proceeding. On firmwares prior to v1.27.x, that limit is 15,000,000 bytes. On firmware v1.27.x that size limit was increased to 17,000,000 bytes.
Recommended 1.27.x interim firmware for LNL-4420: 1.27.6.619 (in Firmware Add-On 1.0.10)
Recommended 1.29.x firmware for LNL-4420: 1.29.1.0633 (in Firmware Add-On 1.0.11)
