Series 3 Reader Interface Modules show readers offline with LNL- 8000 Multiplexers
Symptom
User may be trying to upgrade series 1 or 2 panels to work with LNL-8000 Star Multiplexer boards downstream. Panels will show offline and not connect or send data.
Resolution
There is no firmware update for the LNL-8000, but the resolution to allow the LNL-8000 and the series 3 LNL-1320 panels to communicate in our test environment involves removing the following jumpers:
LNL-8000 : JP2, JP12 – JP17 (Note it's the jumpers closer to the terminal block)
LNL-X3300 : J4 and J5
Bypassing the LNL-8000 in the RS-485 has shown to restore communication and online status for readers.

LNL-8000 Star Multiplexer and Series 3 LNL-1320 and LNL-1300 Reader interface boards
Additional Information
*Series 3 boards with LNL-8000 sometimes required EOL termination to be removed on all other boards on the same RS-485 circuit. This is due the S3 boards being more sensitive to EOL disturbances than previous series.
