How to Set Up the Sagem Morpho MSO 350
Procedure Steps
The MorphoSmart Optic 350 PIV reader (MSO 350) is used for fingerprint identification for access control for FIPS 201.Install the MSO 350 driver:
1) The driver can be found on the Supplemental Materials disc. Run the setup.exe file, located here: \Credential Center Device Drivers\Sagem Morpho\MSO Driver 2.41.22.1\setup.exe
2) Connect the MSO 350 PIV reader to a USB port. Windows will detect and install the drivers.
Configure the appropriate fields in FormsDesigner.
3) After logging into FormsDesigner, select Cardholder from the Open Form window.
4) On the Cardholder tab, map the following fields from the Field Settings window by right-clicking on the field, then clicking [OK]:
- Last Name
- First Name
- Middle Name
- Cardholder ID
5) Right-click on the Badge ID field and select Agency Code + System Code + Credential # in the FASC-N drop-down.
6) Right-click on the Deactivation Date field and select Card Expiration Date in the PIV drop-down.
7) Select the radio button, Save cosmetic (user interface) changes only. Data is not affected. (Fastest). Save the form.
8) Log out of FormsDesigner.
Configure the workstation in System Administration.
9) From the Administration menu, select Workstations. On the Encoders/Scanners tab, click [Add].
10) In the Name field, type the name of the encoder (for example, MSO350 Encoder).
11) In the Workstation field, enter the workstation to which the MSO350 PIV is connected. The drop-down list contains only workstations that have been configured on the Workstations tab.
12) In the Device type drop-down, select PC/SC Encoder.
13) In the Credential Technology drop-down, select Contact Smart Chip. The Supported applications: area will automatically populate with Credential Agent, GSC Cartographer, Offline Guest and Windows(R) Certificate User.
14) On the Location sub-tab, select the This is a standalone device attached to this workstation (name of workstation) radio button.
15) On the Communications sub-tab, select SAGEM SA SAGEM SMART CARD READER 0 from the PS/SC device: drop down list.
Import the badge information.
16) From the Administration menu, select Cardholders.
17) On the Badge tab, click [Search] to locate the cardholder.
18) Click [Modify].
19) Click [Import]. Select PIV Card MSO350 Encoder.
20) Type the PIN for the card.
21) Click [OK]. The card information will be imported into the Cardholder form.
