How to determine the firmware version of USRobotics 56K V.92 external modems
Procedure Steps
Obtaining the firmware version requires a HyperTerminal session on the server side.1) Click the Start button, and then select All Programs > Accessories > Communications > HyperTerminal.
2) If the host modem is connected via a serial cable, then select COM1.
3) Type in a name for the HyperTerminal session.
4) Select COM1.
5) If the modem is connected to the server via an RJ-11 phone line, enter the information for the phone line associated with the modem.
6) Once connected, type the command ATI7 and press <Enter>.
The firmware version will be displayed.
