How do I update the firmware on my Guardall PX, QX, RX panel?
Answer
To update the firmware you need the latest AVR ISP MKII Kit, which is a USB controlled programmer manufactured by Atmel. The Guardall Part Number for the kit is W76546.
The kit uses a package called 'AVR Studio' to control the programmer.
V4 Firmware (or above) will only run on an appropriate ATMega 2560/2561 device.
RX16i, QX32i, PX500 and PX250HS use ATMega2561 processor. PX48i & PX80i use ATMega2560 Processor.

Note: When flash-upgrading PX80, PX250HS or PX500, the configuration will normally be maintained following the flash upgrade. All other Panels should be defaulted following a flash upgrade. It is therefore always recommended to make a backup of the configuration prior to upgrading any system.
