Granted Access by Badge ID with Video Pop-up in Alarm Monitoring

Resolution

Step One: Modify current alarm in Alarm Definitions.

System Administration > Monitoring > Alarms > Alarm Definitions

1. Select Relay Contact Activated in Alarm list.
2. Click [Modify].
3. Select the check boxes Display alarm and Active alarm.
4. Click [OK].

Step Two: Configure Global I/O.

System Administration > Access Control > Global I/O

1. Click [Add].
2. On Global Linkage tab:
   1. Name the task.
   2. Choose Timezone.
      1. Always chosen in this screenshot.
3. On Input Event tab:
   1. Click [Add].
   2. Under Device, select Reader.
   3. Under Event, select Access Granted.
   4. Enter the desired badge for access in the Badge Number field.
   5. Click [OK].
4. On Output Action tab:
   1. Click [Add].
      1. Under Objects, select Device Output.
   2. Click [Next].
      1. Select Auxiliary Output 1 for the reader selected on the Input Event tab.
      2. Under Operation, select Pulse.
      3. Click [OK].
   3. Click [OK] on Global Linkage window.

Step Three: Configure Device – Camera Link.

System Administration > Video > Digital Video > Device – Camera Links

1. Click [Add].
2. Select Device:
   1. Under Device Type, select Reader Output.
   2. Under Search Device by Panel filter, select Access Panel.
   3. Select desired Reader AuxOut1.
   4. Click [Next].
3. Select camera(s):
   1. Under Video Recorder, select the desired recorder.
   2. Select desired camera. Camera will appear in Linked Camera(s) table.
4. Click [Save Link(s)].
5. Click [Finish].

Step Four: Configure Alarm – Video Configuration.

System Administration > Video > Digital Video > Alarm – Video Configuration

1. Select Relay Contact Activated in Alarm list.
2. Click [Modify].
3. Enable Automatically Launch Video Player on Alarm.
4. Click [OK].

Step Five: Configure Alarm Monitoring.

1. Enable the following options:
   •  Refresh Alarm Configuration
   • Automatic Live Video Display
   • Launch Video for Active Alarm
