Endpoint error installing Front Desk on client

Symptom

No Endpoint Listening at http:// locahost, even though FQDN is defined in the deploy files. This error shows when installing Front Desk on a client workstation.
 
Also, serviceModelClient.config.deploy is defined correctly, but this error is still shown on a client workstation.

Resolution


  1. Open Front Desk, and then open the Task Manager.
  2. In Windows 7, go to View, select Columns, and then select Image Path Name.
  3. Find the process lnl.OG.VM.FrontDesk.View.exe and open the file location for that path. This will be
    similar to:
    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\LKY7X014.CDH
    \QN676LT3.7Q6\ongu..tion_25ee14c37812bd95_0006.0004_61d07b08ded848d8 (XP Users might need to browse to this path
    manually).
  4. Adjust the serviceModelClient.config file in this location, and then try installing Front Desk again. Front Desk should now install correctly.
