Card format not listed as assignable on Readers and Doors

 

After modifying the Maximum number of card formats in System Administration > System Settings > Hardware Settings, you cannot assign a newly created card format as it is not displayed as an assignable card format.

 

If the card format you are looking for has an ID range between 1 and 16 but is not in the list of card formats that can be assigned, verify that the Asset Format option on this card format is not selected. Selecting this option removes it as an assignable card format. Deselect the checkbox to make the card format available for assignment.
