Can an LNL-3300-M5 Have Standard Lenel Hardware Downstream?

Question

Can an LNL-3300-M5 have standard Lenel hardware downstream?

Answer

The LNL-3300-M5 communicates through the M5/M3000 backplane to Reader Panel (RP) boards and Input or Output Control boards attached to the backplane. In addition, the LNL-3300-M5 has an external RS-485 communications port that can be used to communicate to either other M5/M3000 units with an LNL- 8000-MCOM in them, or standard Lenel hardware (LNL-1100, LNL-1200, LNL-1300, LNL-1320). The LNL-3300-M5 supports a maximum of 32 board addresses.

Additional Information

Legacy CASI M Series boards cannot be mixed with Lenel M Series boards. If converting an M5 or M3000 controller to a Lenel M Series configuration, then all boards in the M5 or M3000 controller must be converted to Lenel M Series.
